Here is what to bring, how the gate works, and who to call if something goes sideways.
What to Bring
- Driver's license (state-issued, current)
- Container number
- Booking or release number
- Equipment Interchange Receipt (EIR) for inbound
Gate Procedure
- Approach the yard attendant.
- Hand over your documents.
- Await guidance to your specific unit location.
- Proceed to the proper location.
- Drop or pick up the container.
- Follow signs toward the exit.
Common Reasons for Rejection
- Missing booking or release number
- Container damage exceeds IICL acceptance
- Driver's license expired or not presented
- Incorrect location
- Conduct that disrupts yard safety
